Reducing Warranty Claims Through Quality Control for Heavy Equipment Manufacturers See the articleWorld leader in 3D design software and 3D CAD Autodesk has granted Penn State Behrend with a huge donation in the form of free access to three of its software packages: Education Master Suite (advanced 3D CAD and engineering analysis tools), Simulation Moldflow (design tool for plastic injection molding) and Entertainment Creation Suite (3D animation software). The $21.7 million donation has already been put to good use and it is now possible to obtain the Autodesk Simulation Moldflow certification, which will be offered once a year.
The Director of the School of Engineering, Ralph Ford, is confident that this huge donation from the 3D CAD leader will contribute to the development of Penn State Behrend as regards a number of upcoming interdisciplinary programs. It is also reported that the Autodesk products are to serve as the stepping stone to new projects such as initiatives related to digital arts. Not only is the 3D design software and 3D CAD leader likely to benefit from the exposure resulting from the $21.7 million donation but, through this, it reaffirms its mission to support students and professors in their quest to play a major part in developing the next wave of 3D artists over the coming years.
