Scanning 12 boats in 24 hours!

A company called Marinexpert Plus inc. came to us for a project involving ship stability certification. The mission was to scan 12 ships in dry dock, with 15 to 25 meters in length, spread in several marinas in the province of Québec and over several hundreds of kilometers.

Creaform’s course of action took into account the fact that the boats had to be measured outside in dry dock. We decided on a Leica C-10 long range scanner, which increased the number of points of measurement from a few hundred to several millions. Read the complete story!
