Lévis, July 28, 2011 - Creaform, leader in portable 3D optical measurement technologies and 3D engineering services, today announced its results for Q2 of 2011. The company continues on the path to success, and reports sales of $9.6 million in Q2, which makes for an impressive YOY growth of 63%, and a significant increase in profitability.
Under the leadership of VP Markus Eickhoff, Creaform's EMEA territory shows impressive figures with a 131% growth in Creaform technologies sales over 2010. Showing significant growth are APAC and North America (which recently underwent a structural change to include Latin America, resulting in VP Stéphane Galibois now leading an expanded Americas territory).
Martin Lamontagne, CEO at Creaform, is obviously very pleased with the company's sales performance. "Over the past 12 months, Creaform's performance has been stellar, and we have every intention to keep that fast pace. We have just completed Q2, which has tied with Q4 of 2010 as the biggest quarter in our history; this is such an amazing achievement! We are tirelessly working to push back the boundaries of 3D optical metrology and scanning, and we are now reaping what we have sown over the years with our acquisitions, the opening of foreign offices and the numerous products launched since 2005."
In terms of technology sales, the HandyPROBE arm-free CMM line-up stand out with 118% YOY, while our Handyscan 3D and MetraSCAN 3D scanners line-ups are also steadily increasing. The great performance of our 3D Engineering Services is worth mentioning too, with a strong 91% YOY growth.
Today and as part of the 2011 Coordinate Metrology Society Conference (CMSC), Creaform's president Charles Mony will present a white paper on Intelligent Measurement Processes in 3D Optical Metrology: Producing More Accurate Point Clouds. The complete paper will soon be available through our Website.
