3D Metrology Leader and Engineering Services Provider Announces Move to New California Office To Strengthen Its US presence
Creaform, a worldwide leader in portable 3D measurement solutions and engineering services, announced today that it is expanding its California presence with a new office in Irvine. With this relocation, Creaform further continues its global market expansion and completes another important step in strengthening the measurement technology and metrology services it offers in the United States.
Headquartered in Lévis, Québec, Creaform first opened a Costa Mesa office in 2015. Today, the company moves to a 3000 square-foot office building located at 2031 Main Street in Irvine that allows for further expansion as the company grows. Local staff has been in place since mid-September and is ready to support the increasing demand for dimensional metrology technologies and services in the region.
“The United States has been a focal point for Creaform from the beginning. More recently, we have seen a growing interest in what our technologies bring to the manufacturing, automotive and aerospace industries from coast to coast,” explains Jarrod Schmidt, National Sales Manager for Creaform USA. “California is a global hub for technological innovation. Our new location offers great customer outreach opportunities for our team across the United States, while complementing our corporate headquarter’s eastern presence. Creaform now will be able to more effectively provide support and expertise attuned to each region’s unique manufacturing and quality control challenges.”
On-site Robot Calibration and Metrology-Lab
The new facility also will incorporate an expanded industrial robot calibration service, which improves a customer’s robot’s absolute accuracy, all the while reducing downtime. “Along with a local after-sales service department, expanded service capabilities and the addition of a large-size measurement laboratory, Creaform will have the latest technology and know-how to carry out calibration and metrology services for its US customer base,” added David Gagné, Division Vice-President After-Sales & Metrology. “Our new local regional office will allow us to increase customer contact without the inconveniences of distance and time zone differences, while providing a central hub for metrology services across the western United States.
This latest expansion is in-line with Creaforms’ market growth strategy. Over the past two years, it has opened local offices in Brazil, Italy, Singapore, and Spain.
