Located in Narita, Japan, the complete CUBE-R station is now available for benchmark and product demonstrations.
Creaform, a worldwide leader in portable and automated 3D measurement solutions, last week introduced another demonstration and benchmark center for its 3D inspection cell, the CUBE-R™. This new center will operate out of Creaform’s Narita Service Center in Japan, which also provides equipment certification, repairs, maintenance and calibration services of all the company’s metrology-grade 3D measurement solutions.
CUBE-R is an automated 3D scanning Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM), designed specifically for quality control applications. It features Creaform’s robot-mounted optical scanner, the MetraSCAN 3D-R. Offering unprecedented speed and reliability, CUBE-R is a turnkey solution used in manufacturing environments in order to improve product quality and inspections. Thanks to its robust design, it is perfectly suited for the dimensional measurement of parts ranging from 1 m to 3 m—even under shop-floor conditions—without affecting volumetric accuracy.
“This new quality-control demonstration center is proof of Creaform’s commitment to manufacturers and large-scale Tier 1 suppliers in Japan and the entire Asia-Pacific region,” explained Pierre-Hugues Allard, Creaform’s Head of Sales for EMEA and APAC. “With CUBE-R, Asia-based companies that are looking to increase their competitive edge on a global scale can rely on Creaform’s innovative 3D measurement technologies to automate inspections and significantly enhance the quality of their products to meet—if not surpass—international standards.”
“I am very pleased to unveil the CUBE-R at our Narita Support Center in Asia for the first time,” Jun Kobayashi, Creaform’s Country Manager for Japan. “This automated 3D measuring machine is a powerful optical 3D scanner that can be integrated into factory automation systems without compromising accuracy. I am very excited to spread the CUBE-R’s capabilities throughout various industries Japan and elsewhere in Asia, including the automotive sector.”
