Lévis, Québec, October 25, 2012 – Creaform is proud to announce that partner TechMed 3D will be introducing the Go!SCAN 3D handheld white light 3D scanner for the first time to the orthotics and prosthetics industry, in cooperation with Rodin 4D and during the 17th edition of the ISPO France 2012 Conference, held today and tomorrow in Lyon, France.
The Go!SCAN 3D scanner and its applications in O&P
The Go!SCAN 3D is a simple, fast, affordable and reliable scanner that can be used by anyone without prior experience or training and provides visual guidance during the scanning session through real-time visualization and ongoing positioning assistance. The Go!SCAN 3D makes it possible to scan virtually any body part, which is a major asset for people from the fields of health care and O&P. Besides, the non-contact scanning process is so fast and simple that it reduces turnaround times and makes the process seamless, non-invasive and low-stress for patients.
The integration of the Go!SCAN 3D into TechMed 3D’s Msoft proprietary software makes it possible to automatic data finalization so that they can be used in orthopedic applications. The solution has been tailored to the specialists’ practice and offers features such as automated and customizable measurement, anatomical point indicators, and automatic reporting.
When the Go!SCAN 3D is combined with Rodin 4D’s solution, it is possible to virtually rectify the scanned shape so to make the necessary corrections and tool it onto a numerically controlled machine.
Come and see the Go!SCAN 3D in action at the ISPO France 2012, booths #32-34-36.
